Boy Dies In Lowa Swimming Pool

An autopsy will be conducted to resolve the exact cause of death of an 11-year-old Wesley boy who actually drowned in the family swimming pool Sunday morning.

According to Kossuth County Sheriff Steve Kollasch, the autopsy is being done on Dayton Boleneus because of his past medical history. Boleneus is the son of Nita and Robert Boleneus of Wesley.

According to a news release from the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Department, at about 10:40 a.m. Sunday deputies were called to the family's home at 2604 200th Avenue to help the Algona Ambulance Service. CPR was being performing on Boleneus when deputies came on the scene.

During the investigation, it was known that the boy had been playing in the area of the family swimming pool which enclosed a shallow amount of water.

The Wesley First Responders, Algona Ambulance and the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Department came to the scene.
